Engel front-opening fridge/freezers

Don't know if they're a rebadged other brand, or if Engel has gone into another apsect of fridges/freezers, but they now offer three different front opening, built-in models.

42qt AC/DC
60qt 12V/24V DC only
60qt AC/DC

These are all compressor based fridge/freezers. Nice to have more options.

Looks like a Norcold to me.

Re: Engel front-opening fridge/freezers

Good find. I see West Marine carries them now and similar price as the Norcold. I wish I had a reason to spend the money but the Norcold is working fine. One of my biggest dislikes of our van is the refrigerator and the noise it causes at night while trying to sleep!

I don't see it, but it does look like they just used one fridge and scaled the photos- even the insides are exactly the same save for the food pictured in one.

I'm looking at the grill and knob. Seems the same as the Noisecold in my rig.

Re: Engel front-opening fridge/freezers

Those Engle fridges may look like Norcold's but they aren't. They are quieter and better quality than Norcold. They also don't use a regular compressor.
