Re: Fiamma vs Carefree

Angel, did they just bolt some flat pieces through your fiberglass top to hang the case on? Is yours a manual crank or motor driven? Whichever, have you had any problems with in and out? Did you buy vinyl or acrylic?

Re: Fiamma vs Carefree

JTCex,

My awning is bolted on in 3 places and a metal 3X5 in plate is behind the bolts. I have the Manual Crank Model, white with ocean blue Vinyl fabric, 11 ft long. I have had no problems with it. I would buy it again and I recommend it.

It comes with hardware to attach in 2 places but I wanted it attached in 3 places. Carefree failed to send the extra hardware as requested. Premium RV found some hardware that would work in his "possibilities" box in the back, so, I did not have to come back in for the 3ed attachment. Also, Premium RV provided the metal plates as they do not come with the awning.

I am going to Dallas this spring. PM me if you want to see it.

Angel

Re: Fiamma vs Carefree

Here is the owners manual for Trimline awnings. We are on our second one, first lasted 20+ years, we installed a new one last year. I have put it up by myself but it is for us far easier to have two people do the set up. Taking down in a wind is defiantly a two person job. Ours is a 7'x10' awning.

Hopefully in the next couple weeks. I really need an electric self supporting awning for my uses.

I live in San Clem, called them today (02 Nov 2018) and I know more about awnings than the rep did.....

Any chance you have any pics with awning extended. And, the smaller one over the window?

Thanks,

Bob
