Fix for SMB provided table legs

We have the tripod legs attached to the center support post/table. Whenever it needs moved, the legs fold-up and it is always while holding something else, so difficult to get on the knees and reposition. Has anyone found a way to have the legs stiffened in the out position, but easily foldable again when ready to bag up and go?

Re: Fix for SMB provided table legs

We got rid of our table since we weren't using it very much. (When used inside the van, it was too high so I shortened the center support but we still didn't use it that much. We now use TV trays (on the lap) when eating inside the van.)

You might think about using bungee cords to hold the legs up. I don't remember if there are three legs or four...if four, I'd drill two holes at right angles through the center support, 1/2" apart vertically, and thread the bungee cords through them and attach the ends to the center points of the legs. The bungee cords would need to be long enough and soft enough to extend far enough to let the legs fold up. Otherwise, you could use clips one end of each cord.

We use ours all the time.
It just takes practice to figure out just how high you can lift it by dragging it along without the legs lifting off of the ground. I like Jack's bungle cord idea though, just might try that one out.

Magic moving men is the answer. I use those Teflon coated circles that you buy in the hardware store to move furniture. Put them under your table legs and then the table slides on the carpet easily. You don't have to pick it up to move. I use them under my porta potty also. Then it just slides out.
