Re: Flash lights

You all may want to visit this website . www.goinggear.com Very honorable young man that has many of our same interests . The Fenix line has been a very reliable and a leader in the LED field for some time . As some of you may realize I am a light nut owning all of the above brands and have found the Fenix and Olights are very well made lights that have out performed all of the previous lights that I have owned .

Re: Flash lights

Don't sell yourself short Greggd, you're much more than a light nut.

Is that a left handed compliment? Or?

Re: Flash lights

I finally purchased a higher powered flashlight.

WOW, that is about 10 times brighter than my big Maglight! Of course, the Maglight is a tactical light and a weapon. If I hit someone with this LEDLenser they would get mad and hit me back. But, it is bright and has a clever, one hand focus system.

http://www.ledlenser.com/product/P14

It is non-rechargable, battery powered and did I mention it is BRIGHT?

They have many other models but I chose this one for compactness and brightness. It is available for ~$60 on ebay.

Now I just have to wait for it to get dark.

Re: Flash lights

At work I dropped my stinger inside a house and blew the bulb. I walked into the wall trying to get out of there.
I went down to get a new bulb and they showed me a new LED replacement (not made by the flashlight manufacture) and wow is it bright. All the cops are switching to them. It's like a camera flash hitting you. It doesn't throw as long as a beam but won't pull the battery down quickly like the original bulb does. It also has 3 levels of brightness. I'll bet these will be offered by many light manufactures in the near future if not already.

Re: Flash lights

I knew someone would ask that. I'll have to call them Mike. It is plug-n-play but they told me if something goes wrong with the flashlight to take it out before sending it back to Streamlight or it will void the flashlights warrantee. The bulb is 45 bucks...not cheap.
