That's a hell of a lot better than junk in your trunk Eric

Na, really I'd rather keep it outside but have kept the Ford Cetane Booster in a little soft ice chest. I'm switching to Daily Diesel Cetane Boost and Lubricant Fuel Additive unless somebody has heard bad things about it.
My custom trash bag has a spot for it but I like to keep one bottle w/i easy access.

it in a ammo box but even that can leak. I now hang open bottles outside.

Re: How do you carry your diesel additives?

Maybe it just hasn't leaked yet, but I carry my Motorcraft Cetane booster in the 20oz bottle it comes in, with the lid on normally tight, in the driver's door pocket. I'm on the third refill of that bottle from a 1 gal can I bought. I've been through a lot of altitude changes (I live near sea level and frequently head to the mountains).
I usually get some on my hands when fueling, but the smell goes away in a few minutes.

I have a sealed bottle of the low-temp additive in my storage box for someday.

Re: How do you carry your diesel additives?

I've always intended to mount a small tank (mower or PVC) under the chassis with a low pressure fuel supply pump and a momentary switch plumbed at the tank return line. a little pump calibration will know how long to hold the button in.. even a aux washer fluid pump would suffice for limited use.. and all fluids and stink rmain on the outside
Dad's old diesel died before I could get to the project. but seemed like an easy 1 day affair.

This seems like a brilliant idea! How would you refill the little tank with additives, though?

Re: How do you carry your diesel additives?

I keep the 80 oz bottle of Diesel Kleen Power Service in the cabinet right behind the driver seat. I make sure to wipe off the bottle really well after use and then squeeze a little air out of it before closing the cap tightly.

I keep the funnel in my driver door inside a zip lock type freezer bag.
