Re: Interior coffee maker?

The B30 takes 2min and 20 sec. to heat and dispense a 8 oz cup of good coffee of your choice. That is with my 4D.

Re: Interior coffee maker?

We too have the mini b31. Living entirely off the grid we've been using the Tasimo pod coffee maker for a few years now and it brews a good cup of coffee every time. Although it has a little compressor and heats the water, it doesnt have a hot plate which is the biggest energy waste. The mini b31 fits perfectly by the sink and is very easy on the inverter.
Plus, I am lazy. Nothing to clean but the cup.

Re: Interior coffee maker?

The AeroPress Coffee Maker always gets great reviews. I'm going to get one of these some day, especially since the price is tough to beat, it would be perfect in the van/home and it is supposed to be super easy to clean up.

Re: Interior coffee maker?

The thing I don't like about presses is cleaning out the grounds. They can't go down a sink and I found the press to be a pain / waste of water to rinse out. This year I plan on a single cup drip filter, like this:

The filter goes in the compost or garbage, nothing to clean except the cup.

My wife just drinks instant, but I refuse to submit to that garbage

Cheers!
Mike.

Re: Interior coffee maker?

Disposing of the grounds are the downside. So far, my camp sites have been next to rivers/streams. So, it hasn't been a problem.

Agreed. Can't/won't go to instant.

We have the 14 cup & I can highly reccomend them. High quality precision fit. You can get filters if you want, but if you get course ground, you don't need them, as the holes in the filter are pretty small.
