Not to rain on your parade, but I found something with similar “ adjustible” function at Camping world for about $12. Love the height adhustment option, though it it looks like yours may adjust to more than two heights, which I’d have liked. Aside from that, yours is prettier!

Ideas from your table build?

I’d like to have a frame for my Gaucho that’s something like yours. What would you seggest for
lightweight but sturdy materials? It’ll have a 6” deep
fold-up memory foam mattress on top. Do you think I would need something like you have on the tabletop,
to prevent the mattress from pushing through, or is
there something more lightweight I could use?
I want to make the “ bed” a bit wider, so was thinking that I need to extend the part under the mattress....and add some type of L-shaped edging to
keep the mattress pad from sliding off.
I can’t lift much these days and the current Gaucho set-up is really hard to lift up ( but must get to batts and water tank), so this is what I’ve come up with so
far. The mattress folds into three attached parts, so
is lighter and easier to move. The rest is my thoughts on how it should work.
So any advice, ideas, and suggestions would really
be appreciated!
Thanks so much

Lol! You'll only be raining on my parade if the Camping world table is 39.5" wide.....

The main reason for designing and building this is that it's the same width as the PH bed...makes for easy storage up in the ceiling.
