Mud flaps

Long time since I've been in the forum. I have built out my 2011 E-250 and will post some pics soon. But, I have a question. Vermont has changed its inspection
Rules and now in order to pass the year.y inspection I need mudflats. Question......I want the best I can get not some flimsy cheapo's ....would welcome and recommendations or suggestions.
Thanks
jjtwister

This is what I did. Pretty much the farthest from "cheapo" that you can get. We have lots of gravel roads up here and also mud flap laws so wanted something that protected my van but at the same time added to its looks, not take away.

I went with a 1" offset powder coated stainless steel upper bracket with a 14" mud flap, both Gatorback brand. This bracket is the least obtrusive for rubbing while turning if you are short on clearance. In the states, Justin at sharptruck.com carries these parts. You can go 12" or 14" wide depending on your tire size. Also you can pick between a galore of logos or just get plain black.

Our Quigley has smaller tires and didn't need an offset to clear the tire so we just used a universal rubber Gatorback. Just a few options of heavy duty solutions.

Thanks for posting this. Just read through Oregon's rules and found out you need flaps if: under 8000 lbs and 27 inches high or over 8000 lbs and 10 inches high. I'm good with both weight and height for now but had started thinking I could keep some mud off my lower panels and nerfs if I used the flaps. For those using them, do you ever get snow caked up in there? Not a lot of extra room behind that tire.
