New design Aluminess bumper installed, anyone want to trade?

Quick post from the road.
Yesterday I got the new Aluminess bumper installed and while I knew there was a new and improved design I had not seen it.
Yeah no, the approach angle is all wrong for someone like me who will wheel harder than most.

I understand the reason they changed for cosmetic reasons but I need the clearance.

So if anyone in the Bay Area, Portland, Tacoma or Salt Lake wants to trade in the next week or two message me.
I am ok if your bumper is a little rough, I plan on working it hard.
Thanks

Oh man! Now I gotta look for a photo of the older style so I can compare the differences. Very interesting.

Once you put 37's on it'll be fine.

Huh, wonder what that would look like on a 2001 E350. Or are a lot of us going to be looking for vintage Aluminess bumpers?

What makes you think they need to change the econoline bumper? There is no wrap around headlight or bumper to account for. Straight lines

The Ford Van bumpers are unchanged and still available. I had a new one installed 6 months ago. FYI - I had my 15 year old SMB after market grill powder coated all black and it looks nice!

Quadvan had an older one in stock and was able to swap out my new design. If you actually wheel your van the new one has a worse approach angle and would be harder to get a tire on an obstacle.
However the new one has better aero and frontal protection if that is a concern.
