I really like the clips you used - Would you mind sharing where you resourced them?

The mounts I used are from Quick Fist called the Minis. For what it's worth, the mount that comes with the extinguisher is quite nice. It would be ideal to have the option to buy two as they come with just one. My application needed the flexible mount provided by the rubber minis.

When first seeing these I immediately thought of this same location! At least one of mine still on the way to me will be there, excellent location for an almost instinctive grab when/if needed and completely out of the way.

I think one on the right rear door too---never too far from having one in hand.

I was thinking, since the Element works well in a confined space - If I had an electrical fire in this compartment, would an Element ignite by flame if I removed the endcap & mounted one to the bottom of the bench seat (directly above these electronics)? essentially mimicking a fire suppression system
The current striking mechanism of an Element does require the tip of the striker to be rubbed on the end of the extinguisher. It will not activate by having flame contact the unit so the idea of having it 'self ignite' in an enclosed space would not work.

Thanks for the discount! I ordered up a couple and hope to never need to use them. At least on my own vehicle.

For me in that same situation about every 3rd or 4th word would be safe for work, the others not so much.

Good video showing how any extinguisher would have been good, the Element offering probably designed with such events in mind.

JW you were a perfect gentleman when you and I met up last year!

And I wish I had seen this thread earlier as I could use the product- too bad missed the discount

The coupon code: sportsmobile2018 that gives 15% off and free shipping on orders over $99 is still valid and will be until midnight on Sunday.

We had extended the offer an additional week to allow those people who were on vacation leading up to Labor Day to still get in on the discount.

Well I was struggling to behave---you see the rough company I keep!

Snatch one or two of these up Anne---and anyone else too. Mine just arrived and they're so compact fitting them into any sort of quick-access stowage won't be a problem. Like RedOval I'll mount one just under the lower seat cushion between the driver's door on the actual seat base, driver's side.

And I want to thank Rob once again for not only his participation and discount but his diligence working through a few small issues getting my order finalized and delivered. Add in I won two additional Element 50's too and I've got nothing to carp about!
