I have this old Hi-lift and am wondering if it is comparable to the newer jacks. This jack has been with me for almost 30 years and has worked well the times i have had to use it. My concern is that the van is much heaver than any Jeep this jack hes pulled or lifted. The tag reads 7500lb Max Lift. Do you guy think this style Hi-lift is adequate for use with a E350? Also do you know if any of the accessory's will work with this jack?
I don't know for sure, but my first thought would be the older products are stronger and better made than newer ones.
If it is working fine, I'd keep it.
If concerned, I'd call the manufacturer and ask them about it.

It should have a rating and you should be able to find and identify the shear pin (meaning it hasn't been replaced with a bolt...)
"Modern" Hi-Lift jacks are rated for 7,000 lb and the running gear is cast instead of bent and welded.
I've been to the Hi-Lift HQ in Indiana, they're good people and will surely provide more information. Regardless of what you have I would seriously consider spending the ~$70 to get a modern Hi-Lift and save that one for display or sell it.
I’d do some maintenance on it as dictated by the manufacture. That handle might knock out some teeth if not working correctly. Check out this thread viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4294
Shouldn't have your teeth in line with the handle on any jack anyway!
