Our crews are testing the Stihl at work. They're OK but just don't do what a similar sizes gas version does. The Oregon (from videos I've seen) seems to work better and has a built in sharpener. My main gripe besides their size is they still use bar oil and makes a mess. Because I got a bunch of DeWalt tools I was hoping for a smaller version...something with a 10 inch bar or similar. If I could find room for the Oregon in my back storage box I may indeed look into hauling one. Wonder how much to replace that 40V lithium?

Hmmm. After seeing how weak battery powered circular saws are, I'm just not convinced you could do much with one of these. Plus it would cost a lot to get one and try!
I haven't been very impressed with the smaller ones but even with my Sven saw, I usually just score the log and break it over a rock. I don't know what wood they are cutting in this video, but it seems to work better than most electrics.
Sawzall with a Wrecker Demolition blade would actually be my tool of choice. As a bonus you can carry a metal blade for emergencies that don't involve trees.
