Trekker Fold-A-Privy
Pros
lightweight
easy to set up
easy to carry
relatively simple to pack up, once you get the hang of it
comes with four bags that can be filled with rocks, sand or dirt when you can't use stakes
guy-lines attached to tent
nice set up for a shower (removable fabric floor, easy routing of shower hose through roof)
mesh vented 'skylight'
very thin when packed up
roomy
fairly inexpensive

Cons
stakes are light-duty at best
tent frame easily flexes in the wind
no windows
large diameter when packed up
door opening a little small
material seems thin (not see-thru thin, but longevity thin)

PETT
Pros
study frame
secure in the wind
decent stakes (but not great)
windows (that you can close)
relatively easy to carry with the optional backpack (which also carries the PETT toilet and WAG bags)

Cons
heavy
bulky when packed
pinched fingers when setting up the tent
no floor
can be frustrating to set up and take down
fairly pricey

Herb

Re: Portable shower shelter

I just had occasion to visit the Texsport Deluxe shower shelter. It's two rooms, divisible with a screen. Removable floor, and you can hang a shower bag. 4.5 x 4.5'. Same as the Cabelas one... But $65 @ Walmart. Rather nice, but sorta flimsy and not fast to set up. You could probably beef it up.

Whoa, price jump on that privy shelter. Looking at getting one, but not at that price! Assuming a typo, wonder how many they've sold for that!

Re: Portable shower shelter

Herb, that looks like the same exact one.

Just for kicks, I'm posting my response from the Ebay seller with the $37 shelter that is now $328. This is not a joke, but a direct quote.

Dear Sir or Madam,
Thanks for your question,
The price is not wrong. Just because there are not so many products in stock now, we write the high price.
And don't sell it now. It will be in stock about a month later. Would you please kindly wait some days for it, or
please buy from other store. Fully sorry for the inconvenience to you.

May you and your family have a nice day.

I scratched my head for awhile. I may not understand how some cultures do things, but perhaps they should learn how we do.
