Re: Saw to keep limbs off of your van.

I use a Dewalt 18 volt sawzall. Lots of choices in blades and can be recharged with the inverter and solar panels

Re: Saw to keep limbs off of your van.

I carry a small 14" electric chain saw. It makes short work of limbs and logs and it also fantastic for cutting firewood for a campfire. I have two 130W Kyocera panels so I don't really worry about the battery drain as long as clear sun on my solar panels. If it is cloudy I let the van idle while I am cutting wood. The electric saw is much easier than carrying a gas saw, no gas can and it always starts on the first try.

I like the sawzall... used to carry one in the Jeep because you can switch from wood blade to metal and cut bits of anything in the way off...

Only those who use an ax or machete can really hack it...

Re: Saw to keep limbs off of your van.

Every time I see the title to this thread, I think of keeping people's "limbs" off the SMB, and not a tree's limbs. Anyone seen the movie Saw?
