ScanGauge II On Sale for $129.99 SHIPPED

Found this posted on Slickdeals this morning.
http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2323665
Order through Amazon and you need to use the coupon code SCANGAUG as indicated to save $30.00. Not sure how long this offer will last so jump on it if you're interested.

3 months ago I would have passed this over not knowing what a ScanGauge is, but thanks to you guys I'm in the know now
Don't have the RV yet but figured I might as well get one and use it for the cars and figure out all the settings. Will have enough other things to learn when I finally get the van.

Re: ScanGauge II On Sale for $129.99 SHIPPED

Hey, thanks a million (ok, only thanks about 30 dollars)

I just ordered another Scangauge for my one pickup that doesn't have one. Now I get to be a 3 SG family.

Hey Windguy, Thanks for posting this. I just ordered one.
It had been on my list since the Grand Canyon Forum trip last month when I was discussing it with a few members.

Re: ScanGauge II On Sale for $129.99 SHIPPED

glad you guys were able to snag one.
Mike, just curious, do you actually tell your wife you're getting this stuff before ordering?
I told mine I wanted to get one even though we don't have the van yet and she gave me that look

BTW - if you're not familiar with slickdeals, then I apologize for posting the link. you're now doomed I think slickdeals is great but it sure is tempting to buy stuff. you can save some money but you have to exercise control. not good for the shopaholic.

Yeah, thanks windguy. I ordered one, too.

(And, no, didn't tell the wife.)

Don't tell the wife. Just install the ScanGauge and pretend it has always been there.

Seriously, my wife is in Panama on a trip and no phone service. Couldn't tell her if I wanted to.

Come on, the ScanGauge pays for itself, right? Better mileage, do it yourself troubleshooting...

Sorry to pop the bubble, I have a ScanGauge myself but recently saw the TV ad for the Ultragauge which seems to do everything the scangauge does but with a bigger screen for $59.95!

I'm ordering one to check it out and let you know how it goes. Anyone else have one yet?

Re: ScanGauge II On Sale for $129.99 SHIPPED

There are also Bluetooth OBD II dongles that will stream to iPhone or Android. Torque is the Android application getting the most buzz - all the features of Scangauge, it seems, plus a few nice extras such as automatically looking up fault codes online; data logging; GPS assistance for speed/distance.

I already keep my phone on the window as my GPS, so should be just a tap on the screen to bring up all of the OBD II data.

BT dongles are about $50. I keep meaning to pick one up but always find something else to spend my money on first

Cheers,
Mike.

someone just posted that same info on the slickdeals forum for this.
crap, 1/2 the price and does the same thing.
maybe this wasn't such a slickdeal after all.
now what to do. try and cancel the order and check out the ultragauge.

anybody out there using one of these?
