Shout out to Linear Logic aka: ScanGauge

I have to give a big kudos to Linear Logic (ScanGauge) for incredible customer service and product support. I'm guessing I bought my ScanGauge around 10 years ago (+/-) and rely on it whenever I drive for speedometer and engine/oil temps. Over the last year or so a couple of the buttons were becoming increasingly non-responsive when trying to go between menus and a portion of the display would intermittently fade out.

I contacted them via their web site to see if there was a refurbish program (I fully expected to pay) and received the following:

Good morning,

Please send your ScanGauge into our office for a free repair!
Along with your unit, please include a note explaining what issues you are experiencing with your ScanGauge, what year(s) and type(s) of vehicle(s) the ScanGauge is plugged into, your contact information(phone number or email), and your return shipping information. Please send your unit to the following address:
.
.
.
(intentionally deleted)
.
.
.
If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Have a great day!

I was stunned, in a good way. I sent the unit in and received it back within 2 weeks (probably closer to a week) with a note that they replaced the circuit board, and firmware updated. No Charge.

I like to recognize exceptional companies. Linear Logic fits that category!

I agree. I’ve had great luck with them as well.

Love mine. I keep trying the new kid in town, some nice little bluetooth dongle for my phone, but always come back to the ever reliable Scangauge.

I wouldn't have guessed that. I mean the unit is no frills and very basic compared to other options like the Edge. I have one and just figured it was disposable. Good to know Phil, thanks for posting that!

Bought one but haven’t installed it yet. How quick have you guys all found the initial setup on these to be? Really looking forward to the “extra dose of on-demand data.”

Very simple. The X gauge functions (really only needed for trans temp on Ford vans) are a little more involved but it’s just inputting some code.

I may not be like others, but I like the fact it is basic and no frills. It does what I want / need. Has been reliable for years and hopefully for years more now!

Your welcome!

In the electronics world, ten years is forever ago. Incredible they covered repairs under warranty.

I too agree about Linear Logic/scan guage. Same experience and also with a unit 10 or so years old. I cannot remember ever having customer support as good as theirs.
Long live Linear Logic!

I have the proverbial Ford 6.0. So far so good but I have been wanting to install a ScanGauge for awhile. Is this a DIY install or would it be better to have it installed professionally? Thanks for any help.
