I have them on my Whaler Outrage and now on the 24' Bay Ranger an they seem to be holding up very well on both boats . they have been on the Outrage for about two years and in full sunlight with no visible signs of UV degradation .
I can't comment on the Ranger as it is under cover and inside my Sons warehouse .

All of the ones I have in use are metallic male snaps that are attached to fabric and Snadded/snapped onto the self adhering female Snads . I believe that there is a male and female Snads though Mike .

Bit expensive unless you're in a corrosive atmosphere on a boat or near the ocean.
Or, maybe if you want to put a snap on the outside of your SMB and not have drill into the body.

All of the Snads attached on our two boats are mounted to the Gel Coat and did not require any holes to be drilled in the hulls . They are also much less obtrusive than their Nickel or Stainless brethren .
