Maybe a little bag would solve that problem....
I'm with Jeffrey, we just don't generate much trash. Maybe I just eat too much??

Re: Spare Tire Trash Bag Cover

Do beer bottles count as trash? If not, then we don't generate much trash either. However, I'm still in somewhat of a backpacking mode when preparing meals.

My #1 problem. I even switched to canned beer (yuck) to help. I get frustrated looking for a dumpster in the hills, so usually it rides home with me

Re: Spare Tire Trash Bag Cover

I'm curious, who is talking about trash directly in the canvas sack, and who is talking about trash bags going in, and who about having one large trashbag active in the sack?

I use the tray to collect small bags of trash and would probably use a sack the same way.

Re: Spare Tire Trash Bag Cover

If i market it, one size trash bags will come with it and a large chip clip type deal to keep it from opening or spilling. When you're ready to leave or move from camp, you toss it in the canvas bag. I wouldn't want raw trash inside the canvas. The outside of the bag will have a zipper for spare bags. The bags will be the same cubic size as the inside of the canvas carrier.

Re: Spare Tire Trash Bag Cover

We just returned from Big Bend Ranch SP, and we used what I think was an old carry case for a folding table we no longer have.

We wanted something to hang on the spare tire to hold one bag of trash and one bag of recycling.

This bag had a shoulder strap that we wrapped behind the tire and a handle we bunjee'd to the center of the wheel.

It easily held what we needed it too. It also stayed in place for manu miles of wahsboard and 4wd roads, and it also stayed in place for 450 miles of hiway driving.

Not a sophisticated solution but it worked well.
