Tred Pro recovery ramps

Saw this on another site, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ev ... device-for. It looks like they did some serious engineering on them.

edited - changed to Tred instead of Tired

Re: Tired Pro recovery ramps

I enjoyed the video presentation---interesting not only functionally but their R&D too.

For someone traveling in areas where getting stuck is common I'm wondering if the Reseller Pack wouldn't be a good investment, a DIY on-site recovery board seller right at your mishap?

They do look well thought out and if we did a group buy of a pallet of 44 sets they'd cost what $115/set?

Re: Tired Pro recovery ramps

Hi,

I guess larrie was tired when he titled this piece at 1:00 am. The product name is Tred Pro.

Well thought out idea. Only good to -15C. Probably okay as snow is pretty dry at that temperature and not as slippery so less need for them. Only problem I foresee is them cracking when it gets colder. I don't use plastic tool boxes anymore. Shattered junk after -15C.

I'd like a set Santa.

Regards,

Gavin

Tired Pro, tired Larrie.

This may be a bit random, but I'm curious if these are at all effective with two wheel drive? I know that in sand once you're sunk you're sunk and 4wd PLUS recovery ramps are usually needed, but I wonder if these would get you out of a jamb with 2wd as well? Anyone have experience with that?

Re: Tred Pro recovery ramps

I think a group buy would be interesting. Looking at the numbers I think if you estimated the per pair cost would be in the $135-$150 price range plus shipping to your home. The raw cost would be about $115 plus some taxes and import fees. Maybe a little extra for whom ever could take on this project.

It would have to have some pretty fast response and actual commitment from people.

I personally would like at least two pairs.

Re: Tred Pro recovery ramps

I'd absolutely commit to a set or two on a group buy.

That said, I don't have the time to take on organizing it myself.

Note that the prices listed on the main page are in Australian Dollars (AUD).

The US Dollar prices are listed in the sidebar, are quite reasonable. (I backed at $161 US for 1 pair of ramps + mounting kit)

I just backed them for the two pack with mounting kit. With the currency difference, if just makes sense to do it now. The logistics of the large group purchase just does not save enough money.
I sure hope they are as nice as it seems.
