Just returned from one of our full family all 4x4 Van two week adventures where we basically just head in a general direction and find new area's to explore . This trip took us into northeastern Utah's Ashley
Wasatch National Forests where we spent a glorious time setting up camps in bad weather at unimproved sites that we located with the help of two neat and useful app's . The first one was named
Allstays Camp and Rv the second was Allstay's Ghost Towns and both gave us valuable and very accurate information for at least two dozen new places to explore or camp . One of the neat features is the photography guide for the area that you choose giving you a idea of what the location can look like before hand . We even accessed Ghost Towns on two occasions that people in the area didn't seem to beware of . Another great trip made better with the use of these inexpensive app's

Thanks Gregg,
I have a hard time saying no to new apps. The good ones are worth 100x the cost and the lousy ones are hopefully free or so cheap it really does not matter.
I'll give these a try on this weekend's camping trip.

Sure the app is inexpensive, but now I need an iPad or an Android platform.

There is a fairly new thing called bluestacks that runs Android apps on a pc or Mac. So you don't need a phone to run them. I tried it and it's not bad. Little clunky with some apps and great with others. It's free last I saw but who knows how they will make money or how long that will last.
