WEDCO FUEL CANS

Can anyone comment on these cans? Seeing as how Scepter cans are apparently no longer available I'm assuming these are the next best thing or perhaps even better.
Also, how do you folks transport fuel cans safely and securely if you have the Aluminess open storage tray/box?

Thanks,

Bob in Tucson

Re: WEDCO FUEL CANS

They're great cans. However, they're all gone. The only place that has them is Expedition Exchange in Torrance, CA. They bought up the last of the Wedco's.. so if you want some get em now.

http://www.expeditionexchange.com

Keeping them safe and secure is not hard. Just strap them down.

I use a SteelCore strap to lock them.

Try http://www.adventuretrailer.com I think they stock the Wedco cans. In fact, they might even have the Sceptor cans.

Oops! Good catch: I missed an 's' at the end.

I mean go to http://www.adventuretrailers.com

Since I'm at work, I won't go to the mistyped one to find out. Could be non-work safe?

From their website at least, looks like all they have are the Wedco CARB-compliant cans. Now I can spill more fuel than would ever evaporate, just like the stupid little 1 gallon gas can with push-to-pour spout that I have for my lawn mower.

Re: WEDCO FUEL CANS

Thanks for the info and the pics guys, I was already aware of Exp. Xchange having purchased the remaining stock and have been sitting on the fence procastinating as I always do about purchasing them.
The boss said go for it, so I just bought 4 of the Wehermacht Wedco fuel cans. If they still had the water cans I would of bought 2 and 2.

Any advice on water cans?

Now I need the Steel Core Ratchet Straps that Adventureduo has.

Adventureduo, did you paint your cans or did they come that color?

Thanks again,

Bob in Tucson

I like those too, but the best I could find online was about $70 for a 12' strap. I think I'll have to go buy a cable lock instead.

Re: WEDCO FUEL CANS

Well, I just sent my dad a gift of two brand new, red Wedco 20L gas cans. I can buy them, but can't use them because I'm in a CARB state (from ad: It is not CARB compliant and therefore not available for sale in CA, CT, DC, DE, MD, ME, NJ, NY, PA, TX, NH, OH & 5 Northern Counties Of VA (Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, and Stafford)). At least I can buy them and have them shipped to him, so he can use them before they all disappear.

A great buy at $29.99 with spout off eBay. Shipping's no deal at $10/can, but I can't argue with $40 delivered. If you look at the seller on eBay, it's tpg-willowbrook, and the online store is TPG-The Online Store. If you didn't know, Wedco is owned by The Plastics Group (TPG) and is Headquartered in Willowbrook, IL.

eBay ad: 220291482946

Now if I could only get them to ship here. They will not ship to the CARB areas listed above.

BTW, they do NOT have any yellow (diesel) cans.
