Now ya'll got me eyeballin' the 1-quart metal Nalgene bottle with a Lifestraw cap in my go-bag. . . .can you say "Waterworld"? Aw, nothing a good boil of water couldn't fix, right?

Wait. . .Hippie Van woMan has an old pink plastic 1-quart Nalgene wide-mouth around here somewhere. . .Number One problem solved!

I like the Dometic and Thetford with the 2.6 gal bottoms. Anyone heard of other pottys with a smaller bottom, or a smaller seat for my bottom? I like the idea of freeing up some space in that SMB toilet compartment.

Hippie Van Man

Take your oldest, rattiest Nalgene bottle and wrap the crap out of it with duct tape. Empty is as appropriate and rinse. Repeat. Relax. Store it after rinsing under the sink.

For specifically ‘piss jug’ duty (“Trailer Park Boys”), the Cheapest, easiest, and most (Secure) is liquid laundry detergent bottle. Pop out the pressfit pour spout insert with a screwdriver or similar, and you instantly have a “wide mouth” jug. Caps secure quite well, too.

As for ”dooty duty”, cleanwaste makes a folding unit about the size of a thick briefcase. You use compostable, biodegradable bags with about a couple tablespoons of kitty litter for odors, if you can’t find a trashcan right away.

YMMV

Yes, I use a Reliance folding portable toilet for #2. Easy to carry, doesn’t take up much space, and does the job.
