Tricks for pics?

I'm really coming up short trying to quickly find pics since the changeover. It seems like before you could find one of your own pics or a picture someone else posted really quickly. I can't remember the steps now exactly but it was just a click or two and very obvious from the home screen. IIRC, click on the username, click on gallery and you could see their van or trip pictures, for instance. Now it seems nearly impossible to find them.

Please post your ways of quickly finding pictures that you know have been posted.

Thanks

I have not found 'a trick'.. The shortest route I've found is four or five clicks to get into a user's album.

For individual gallery shots, click on the member's name and then select view public profile. You'll see the albums option on the right hand side of the screen once the public profile comes up. You've probably already seen that clicking on the Sportsmobile Photos tab on the homepage leads you to the location where album updates are posted. I like the album updates as they're listed by date. Hope this helps.

Well, I have about the same problem since chronological order is not maintained in the new gallery...

Well you can click on the members list which is in alphabetical order and go from there. I'm not suggesting that having the album section in order wouldn't be a better solution. I'm thinking they can add a shortcut to a members album under their avatar if enough members think it's really needed.

The major problem I see with the albums is if you break up your old album into new separate albums, you'll sever the links in past posts you made. So it seems members looking at an old trip report where the pictures were moved into a new album will only see the old links rather than a picture or series of pics. I left my old album as it was.

But seemingly not 100%. I did this, but before I did tried a few and spot checked them.. and they worked, so then I fixed up and added in all the labels that were destroyed in the transition, and some of them worked and some didn't.

So Robb, you moved an old picture from the original album, created a new album, moved the old picture into it and the old post picture (made prior to the forum switch) still works?

Yes but that is a different issue because he never made a new album. I also can't see those pics in that thread BTW. It seems some of these threads have issues with operating systems...some members can see them other can't.
