'06 Quigley reporting to Fresno!!

Yeah! I am happy to announce my poptop instalation next week! I will try to amuse you folks as I convert the interior from bare cargo, to straight up awesome camper van. Would like to name the van as well. We sold "Vincent" when the Quigley arrived.

The Quigley is a great looking rig, Rb/V10 white and stock, but is a horrible ride! I'll be looking into Deavers/shocks/tires/ anything to smooth it out. Haven't changed a thing yet in 50k, except the fillings in my teeth that rattled loose!! Worst riding vehicle I've ever been in. THE WORST! I had a Kamaz dump truck back in the Ukraine that rode better.

When I get going, you all can suggest a great name for HIM. I'Ve got " The Great White Heap", and or " Moby" so far.

So looking forward, have a great weekend y'all, ET.

The Quigleys frequently have only an inch or two of travel before the fronts hit the bump stops. Raise the front up a couple of inches and you may be surprised at the ride.

Rear Deavers made a big difference in my '02 Quig.

I searched this idea, can you elaborate Mike? Thanks, ET and the "Vandal", "Party Time", "The Guzzler"

Assuming your Quigley has an F350 front axle and stock coils springs, you can either:

- put spacers under the lower spring mount. This is what I did, but you need longer bolts to hold the spring mount to the axle. I think they were 12mm bolts, and not easy to find.

- replace the lower spring mount with a taller one. Here is a typical one from ebay:

Do a web search for F350 spring spacer and you will find many choices.

That looks too easy. There are not issues with this operation? You know, the fine print? Thanks, ET and "The Whopper"

What about better/taller aftermarket coils up front?

Deavers would eliminate the lift block in the rear?

Too funny Elltom, my wife just suggested "Vandal" for our van last week. It's at quadvan right now waiting to be named. It's a black E350 EB V10.

There's always the "Sierra Club Wagon", or "Casper".

"Inside out", "The Homewrecker", "The Popemobile", "Exhibit A", "Lug Nuts", "The Crispy Gypsy", or "The Bong and Windy Road". How about "Dirt Napper"?

It is about as easy as it looks. Hardest part is getting the van on jackstands so the front axle has no weight on it, After that, remove the shock bolt and the spring almost falls out. The spring mount is only a bolt away.

I've tried some aftermarket springs (SSC-30) and got no lift and a harsher ride. So I put spacers under the stock springs.

I have no experience with Deavers in the rear, but most users seem to be happy with them.
