2002 E350 Steering wheel same as? parts numbers?
Hi -
I have all of the new parts (clockspring, wiring, etc) installed... for what is supposedly a 2002 diesel E350 van.
I known the part numbers for the cruise control (CC) unit match properly and I have it wired in as per the instructions.
Problem is the OEM CC steering wheel they sent me is a 2L3Z - 3600 - LAA - this is the part number is confirmed from the Ford dealership and an aftermarket shop.
The non cruise (existing) wheel is 1C2A - 3600 - BAW and the spline is different.
I'm looking at pics of the spline on eBay and they look closer to a F150,250,350,450.
So is it true that the 7.3 2002 E350 uses a Cruise Control set up from one of the F series diesel F trucks?
If anyone knows exactly which one that would be great!
- I have to drive and store the van at the (SSSL) Secret Squirrel Stashing Location Mon because I'm leaving on a climbing mission next Wed for 3 weeks.
I just need to either rewired it back like it was or get the new proper wheel in there (last piece of the puzzle).
I have checked w/ Quigley to see if the steering column on the build was ever altered - which it hasn't.
Maybe it has a F truck or a Commercial Grade "hard rubber" steering wheel or something?...
The spline from the existing 1C2A - 3600 - BAW resembles a F truck at least in internet pics, where as the 2L3Z - 3600 - LAA spline is different.
Another possibility is that this rig has a 2003 1st quarter end of the 7.3 wheel or even a 2003 6.0 wheel in it.
Here I go playing armature detective again... lolz
