Awesome! I might have to come down and spend some time with a tape measure one day.

I love my big body on frame, solid axle e350 gas guzzler. But I did stop and peak in the windows of the transits at the local dealer. It sure looks a lot easier to build out with relatively straight walls, big doors, factory high tops etc.

This will great to watch. You realize that you are going to need a bigger garage/work space to say nothing of a larger driveway.

we'd not laugh so much as be aghast at what new levels of creativity and genius you'll bring to anything you can talk about, that much I'm VERY sure of!

Not been here in a while but if you've not yet begun your own operation it might be time? The Cummins Econo could be one helluva resume/calling card.

At the moment it is our product development rig for the Transit platform. When it is all built out, it may become a demo vehicle that prospective customers can take out for a short trip or it may be for sale. No specific customer for this yet....just another money pit for the business.... I mean investment.

Believe me, I want to!!! The distance between the wheel mounting surface and the upper control arm pivot on an F150 is ~16". The room to work in a Transit is more like ~11". Somewhere I'm either losing 5" of Transit or gaining 5" of F150... Never fear though... I have a plan!!!!

You have us all trained and semi educated (I'm gonna graduate kindergarten soon). It's either a single or double control arm setup. I have good faith in the guy that stuck a Cummins in an E-350.

Plus now you have cad files!!

Dumb Question:

I am assuming you would be going for bigger tires so the lower control arm and mount need to drop down.......right? So....then maybe you could make an upper control arm with a downward offset pivot point to get back up on top of that center thingy.....er knuckle....

I'll stop now, I am coloring outside the lines again.

Can't wait to see.....by the time you finish I will have the E350 all done and will want an MG converted transit low roof with pop top sitting on 33's
