92 E150 lift, question about regearing and brakes.

I have basically decided to go with action van for the lift. I have the 5.8l E150. Larry told me that I should be ok without regearing, I was wondering if I could some feedback on this. Im also wondering if anything needs to done to the brakes, I'm planing on putting 15x8 wheels with 32 inch tires.

I thought they had 16" rims on those vans, if you upgrade the brakes you will need minimum 17" rims.

I currently have 15 inch wheels. I don't want to touch the brakes if I don't have to.

Re: 92 E150 lift, question about regearing and brakes.

You could swap in an E250/350 front axle when you do the lift. Attachment points are the same. But the I-beams and brakes are bigger on the E250/350 axle. Just let Action vans know this so they can send you the taller radius arms. Front axle does most of the braking anyways, so the rear is probably fine. Maybe just a good brake shoe upgrade.

However, if you do the larger axle swap, you will need new wheels, and the front bolt pattern would now be 8x6.5. You should be able to swap rear axle shafts to match.
