I think it's a great idea.. You can do great things on the other van with proceeds from this.

But I'd put the transfer case in and do the drive shafts. I think $8k is reasonable, if it was actually 4x4.

rallypanam, Im actually thinking about going the other way. Taking parts off and putting them on the other van to sell this one cheaper.

New van looks great.

Do you know what years swap? 92-96 97-07 08-2014 etc? Also how about the dash? I'd like to put a 2009+ dash and door panels in my 94 class-b

Also a good option.. Put the CCV kit on the new van.. Then you've got a sweet ride!

Well, the Mark III is gone. Some guy bought it and is shipping it to Belize. Said he was going to use it in a non profit organization to move some people around. Never saw that coming. Well time to concentrate on the B now.

Re: 97 E150 Conversion Mark III -- 4x4 camper van

Just thinking back on this build and after reading these forum's I realized how important shock selection is. I was totally satisfied how the 4x4 install came out but was a little hesitant about the control of the vehicle at 60-70 mph. I threw sway bars at it both front and rear and added extra heavy springs up front trying to make it feel more stable. 0-60 was no problem it handled very well and off road it would have been great. I used bilstein B6 for the rear specifically 33-176857. I just realized these are for motorhomes 30ft or greater. Road like a rock in the rear but also kept the rear very stable. I read that these have increased stiffness in the valving. I wonder how the mark III would have handled with these on the front? Not that it would have used them because the ride was so harsh but I feel like it probably would have done great at higher speeds. It is a tradeoff between harsh ride and handling just need to find the perfect shock or go with custom valving on these big vans with high center of gravity. Just wanted throw this out there for others who have not made it to this point or those who have so they can share their experiences. Im currently trying to select some shocks for my Class B.

Got it in my mind that i need it if the guy would come down on the price a little and he wouldn't budge. So I went home to mow some grass and think about it. After mowing a while it started making more and more sense. So now I have two campers in my driveway and I may be selling the MarkIII.

What do you think is a reasonable price for the 4x4 MarkIII?
Is this a F450 bumper? If so what year model? The ones I saw on ebay have the dip in the center like my 02 superduty.I need a new front bumper and this looks great.Hate you sold it but you new one looks nice.

Re: 97 E150 Conversion Mark III -- 4x4 camper van

I believe it is an 08-10 year f250-f350 and f450

here is where I bought it.

The one in that picture is off a f450 ambulance and it has the sirens cut into it. I tried it on for size but it was too beat up to use.

Here is what the new owner sent me and how it looks now. The 4x4 is now complete.
