When I find a few unspoken hours in a day I try to make them worth my while.

Yesterday was one of those days so I changed my roof rack design. I had an old aluminum rack that used to be 4'x4'. Took it all apart, cut it to fit my 35's (could fit 37's) and put it all back together. Also had this big 1690 Pelican case laying around so made good use of it. It is now permanently (thanks to Sikaflex and screws) mounted up there.

Overall really happy of the result, looks way better than that flex plywood I had up there!

Cheers
David

Mind me asking what type of flooring you are using for the front area? I think I read that you used rubber (which would be great to protect from dirt and such) - but any recommendations? I've got the original rug-ish floor that has seen better days.

It's the original floor that came with the ambo but I found some rubber tiles at HomeDepot back then that were very similar... I also bought some flooring by the roll at Princess Auto (Canadian brand). Just gotta let the rubber sit in the sun for a few day before installing it (to get rid of the smell...).

Nothing with the truck (or bike) for a while. Going to Australia in March then I'll be itching to hit the road again! Trying to figure some time off to drive as far north as possible (Yukon). Only time I went above the arctic circle was in Norway, figured it'd be nice to do it in my own country!

Yourself Arctic, heading back on Vancouver Island?

Cheers
David

Let me know when you figure out a timeline on the Yukon, I've been itching to go up that way as well.
