Re: Anybody use the Fiamma leg brackets on the van exterior?

Yes, the front bracket mounts on the passenger door and you lose the use of that door.

But, it is the side doors that we use when camped, not the front doors and we don't miss the use of it at all.

I miss the use of the door, the passenger footwell becomes a cubby hole (mostly shoes) when camped and the door pocket has essentials like bug spray, but it's easy to pull the foot and put the leg down to open the door and put it back if necessary.

If you find anyone, they are willing, and the hole pattern is the same as the aluminum brackets I would definitely be interested. Thanks!

Re: Anybody use the Fiamma leg brackets on the van exterior?

I have a "CareFree" brand awning which came with brackets like Mikes (with the bar in them). You might try that company for replacement brackets.

They are mounted about waist high. One is on the passenger door. I am happy with the set up. I, too, keep my awning company and put it to bed at night. Some times I use the brackets and some times I do not. I, also, have used one bracket and left one leg on the ground.

Re: Anybody use the Fiamma leg brackets on the van exterior?

I just placed an order at gowesty.com for the old style brackets. I will keep them handy for when my current brackets inevitably fail.
