Anyone bought this DIY Kitchen?

Anyone bought a DIY Kitchen from this company?

https://diycampercabinets.com

They claim to do all of Colorado Camper Van's cabinets.

I can't find anything when I do a search.

Yup I can vouch for the Company and Kent. Quality products and a quality guy. We've been talking about this for a while so I'm glade to see that he's got something up.

On a seperate note I had been talking with him about getting a beta tester for the DIY. Look for a post soon. As we still need to hash out a few details but it's quality product for sure...

Very cool

Pretty cool option for DIY'ers, seems like a pretty reasonable price for what you get as well!

Ya, a E series setup would sell well I think.

yes, it would. I was hoping to get something set up with Matt at AVC on this, but after building and installing mine, we're realizing its not that straightforward for a DIY. First off, can't use unistrut that the cabs can attach to, necessitating the base cabs be installed using through bolts into the floor, and the uppers attached to that and using lots of angle brackets up top, much like what SMB did. There's also no set standard on what people are going to use for the floor material and thickness, which will throw off all the dimensions, making it very difficult with the curvature. Then there's the issue of where those through bolts are landing....so that's only a few of many variables that would make a DIY kit that would work for the masses difficult to put out there for the Econolines.
Not saying it can't be done, but I think there's a lot more obstacles to deal with than there is on the Transit or Sprinter, where both can have cabs mounted to an internal unistrut system without having to put holes through the van floor, hitting who knows what depending on options.

We can do an E Series too! Remember Kent is an engineer with his own CNC so it can be made... or modified in solid works. Actually come to think of it the square back will work fine. My cabinet is square just like the DIY & it fit fine.
I think both you & Matt are overthinking it... why thru bolt it. You can add internal support in the wall & screw the cabinet to it & do the same to the floor. Mines screwed to the floor & wall with zero issues. If I have an issue down the line. I’ll bolt it down when it comes up.
Beauty of DIY.

Good points there Mark, I think the idea was, and what we did on my van, was to maximize the available space. They’re already limited and even more so with the curved walls, so contouring the upper cabs in my opinion is needed, every bit helps. But yes, a square upper cab would not only make design and fab work easier, but install as well.

LOL i didn't realize you where talking about an upper cabinet. That's what I get for speed reading for the uppers yes contouring for sure, lower cabinet not so much... We have several contours that I consider generic and know work with the E series as long as you use a finish trim piece to clean up the small gap. Your interior is looking amazing, bang up job for sure
