Blank Canvas Advice - I found some vans!

So I'm new to the forum, but I've been lurking here and over at expy portal for a while now and I'm pretty much sold on starting with a blank canvas vs. buying an SMB outright and THEN making it how I want it. I'd rather pour money into an unmodified van than to pour money in to a van that already cost me 60k. With that being said, I've scoured the earth and found two vans that fit the bill so far.

Van 1: 2000 E350 EB Cargo-ish 7.3 with 350k miles. Zero rust. Has the double doors with windows passenger side and rear:

2000 E350 7.3l Diesel extended cargo van 4 Seats!

Van 2: 2003 E350 EB Cargo 7.3 with 90k. Appears to have very little rust, especially considering its a New England vehicle:

* * * 2003 FORD E-350 / E350 VAN * RARE 7.3L V8 * Only 90k Miles * *

Spoke with Van 1 owner at length and it would seem the van is super sound. He daily drives it and has all previous records for service work. The high mileage doesn't really scare me with the 7.3 as long as the body is tip-top, which it appears to be. Van 2 just happens to have relatively low mileage but 10k seems a bit steep even for a van that clean that's 13 years old.

Would love some feedback on either/both of these vans! I'm just not seeing anything for sale that's rust free for less than 8k, regardless of mileage. Don't be bird doggin' my quails!!!

Thanks everyone!

Members commenting on specific available vans just isn't likely to happen in time for you to get responses and buy the van. Both those posting are gone.

If you want help I'd recommend doing some research and asking specifics about vans you are targeting. Both those are 7.3 E350. I think lots of folks on here have those. You might ask how many miles is too many for a 7.3 E350? or what should you look for with a 7.3 E350? Good luck with the search.

Didn't see this when it was relevant... But for future reverence, a clean 7.3 van with 90k is a pretty good buy at $10k, hence why it's gone.

Just a hint for you that both posters above have pretty much stated. Don't post links to clean 7.3 vans online or people will buy them out from under you in a hurry. 7.3 vans are hotter than fire these days.

Better luck next time
