Custom holding tanks?

Hello,

Does anyone know of a good place to have a custom plastic holding tank built? Extra points if it's Seattle-area, but anywhere will do.

Thanks!
Mike.

Re: Custom holding tanks?

How custom do you need?

If you only need a simple rectangular box to hold liquids, check these guys:

http://www.plastic-mart.com/

They have many, many sizes of RV water and waste tanks. Ready for standard fittings. You may find something that will work for you at a lower cost than a full custom.

For a full custom tank, any plastic fabricator can make you a tank by cutting pieces and glueing them together. TAP Plastics has a Seattle facility.

Check out http://www.thetanksource.com/index.p...d=0&Itemid=704. These could be modified with Plastic Welder if you needed something more than they offer.

Re: Custom holding tanks?

Thanks for the leads. I can't fit a standard rectangular tank into the space, but some of these crazy ones at the sites you've shared might work - thanks for the leads! I'll check out TAP as well; I'd thought of them earlier but didn't see that they did custom work like that.

Might be time to dust off the yellow pages too. I'm not sure that the local plastic welders have flocked to the internet quite yet

Cheers,
Mike.

Re: Custom holding tanks?

I ordered my tank from http://www.trioniccorp.com/
They have or can build you anything you want.
The holding tanks are under standard tanks and premium holding tanks tabs on the left side.
For mine it was the best price and shipping I could find for the exact tank I wanted.
You might also try Van Specialies in Portland. http://www.vanspecialties.com/

Re: Custom holding tanks?

Thanks! Got a few quotes from the places mentioned - custom is expensive Although I'm sure everyone here already knew that! For tanks, it's about 2.5x the cost of a rectangular one, and that's just for a plain rectangle with a single corner angled off.

So I gave up on squeezing every gallon out of the available space and went with a rectangular tank from a local shop, Marine Sanitation in Seattle. They were helpful in figuring out all of the fittings, and it was super valuable to see everything in person. Also nice to have a local person to talk to if/when something goes wrong! (Knock on wood)

Thanks for all the help,
Mike.
