Electric Awning?

Anyone on the forum have an electric awning or experience with one?

I have found a few online but looking for user info here if any.

They look big and heavy from the web info I have seen so far but I only plan to use it for daily work around town and not to concerned with using it off road. Plan to make some quick release brackets to attach to the roof rack and remove when going on trips if not needed.

Re: Electric Awning?

I'm interested in feedback too. Awning is next on my to-do list. I see Fiamma now offers an electric self-supporting awning. I like the idea of no awning legs, because awning legs seem like a trap for drunk people. And the electric version will roll back up if the wind picks up.

OTOH - An ARB manual awning is $280. But they are on a 4-6 week backorder. Carefree has some self-supporting awnings too, but their website says for OEM RV applications only, not for aftermarket.

Re: Electric Awning?

I see there is a company in San Clemente that makes some quality units. Going to check them out.

During the week I could use it at every job I have but for only 15 minutes or so each time so having the electric would make it very useful.
