If there is little to no lip (the vertical part), then the putty or filler needs to be dug out / ground down enough to allow the clamp to get a bite against the vertical lip to keep the bracket from sliding off horizontally.

Sent an email to Ray for a set of Brackets for my Traverse.

Can you post a picture of the finished mounting for your awning?

Any one have issue with ARB awnings? about 1/2 the price of a Fiamma, should I be concerned?

You should be concerned about spending too much on an overpriced awning.

I'm so glad I switched to an ARB. Even with an enclosed room it is cheaper than a Fiamma. The weight difference sold me as well. ARB makes a hard case awning as well if you don't like the bag system.

The ARB works just fine, as do Ray's brackets.

Ray's Awning Brackets Work Great!

Tricky set up with the gutter and the ARB, but it came out great!

I have both the ARB and the Fiamma, one on each of my vans. I'm actually going to switch them around, because I prefer the ease of setting up the Fiamma. The ARB is pretty easy to open, but it really works better if you have two people, where as the Fiamma only needs one person, and sets up much faster. Both are mounted with Ray's brackets, one on the GTRV and one on the Sportsmobile. If there is a down side to the Fiamma, besides the cost, it seems to stick up higher and will grab more branches, but I'll just make another branch lifter.

Did you have to dig out the filler in the gutters or were you able to mount it as is?
