Ha ha, I normally drive like a GPA unless the conditions are perfect so I dont normally go hard, but I love a big hill and the feeling once that v10 kicks in.

In a good spot with warm engine I floor just to see. It'll rev pretty high for sure. I lost a little with the big tires, but it still goes pretty good.

Not sure if there's a compatible set of springs that will lift an E-series without blocks, but if so, SDTruckSprings.com is super reasonable.

It was $250 for a brand new set of S-10 rear leafs that lifted my Astro 4" sans blocks.

On the agile side of things, I would be very very hesitant to mess with their setup. These guys have spent years and years doing this and it's their passion. And honestly, I know just enough to know not to mess with it. And if I did, it would only be after a conversation with Agile. One could seriously compromise the handling and safety of the vehicle.

We talked it through and it seemed like a custom tank would be the cleanest and best solution that would also allow the build to go on schedule. I solve problems all day long so I can sympathize. The next later model V10 he deals with will be a no brainer.

All I want for Xmas is 4WD!!
Awesome. Once the tax return comes in you may have just sold a tank for Aero.

BTW LOL at the exploding rotopax armour!

If you have the space where the rear spare used to go under the van, or could give it up for a tank, you should look into installing the stock 55 gallon aft axle tank.

My tank ended up being 34ish gallons. After it was installed, there was definitely room for another 3-5 gallons which I think will be done on the next one that comes from Aero for a newer V10. That would give you 40 gallons about, certainly not trivial.

Wow, their prices are great. A couple years ago I had my front springs re-arched and gained about an inch of bump travel, but they are beginning to sag back, so I'm needing to replace them. If these guys can match what I have, I'll save a ton of money over a custom set. Thanks for the link.

Back to Tire Chains for a minute...

Hey Flux! Thought I'd get your attention here a little easier. You said you have RUD Chains on your rig. Which one are you using? Classic V? I have Les Schwab's , but those RUDs look a little beefier, so thinking of switching.

"RUDS I have are fairly simple to put on. You don't have to roll onto them, they have a cable with a catch on the back side and then are tightened around the front and tensioned. Hardest part is untangling them. You should drive 30 feet and retension..."
