Ford awning brackets on a Chevy
These almost want to work.
I carved out some of the seam sealer in the gutter. If the gutter lip was 3/8 higher it'd work better. The gutter is fairly strong, imo. I'd bank that it will not fall off as is.
Adding the nut inserts into the body would raise confidence levels.
The front bracket works good. A second front bracket could be used for the middle. The rear is the Ford rear. Sooooo close.
Perhaps if I had a torch, might be able to add just enough heat to bend the verticals a bit more upright. I'm looking for something with an easy on/off approach. Nut serts would only add one extra step. Or permanently leave the brackets and remove the awning. It needs ~17* more vertical bend give or take a tasty beverage or two.
With the z brackets loose, there is not enough gutter lip to secure the awning while positioning . This is when it has a chance to fall off. I can show you the body scars. enlarge the third pic and you can see where it slid down the side. No harm no foul.
I went onto Plan B for now.
