This is such a great rig! Super well done inside and out. I to love the fixed top for the same reasons. Thanks so much for sharing as i'm going through this type of build right now on my SMB. Changing mine from pop top to the same Super Camper/Cruiser fixed top as well as re-building the interior SMB cabinets.

Would love to know more about the heater your having installed.

Can't wait to see more pics of this rig in action.

GREAT HIGH-TOP!!! So stealthy looking!! And yet another John/Quadvan success story of great advice and experience that helped you produce a fine looking rig!! Can't wait to see more pics and a gallery!!

This rig looks awesome. And as my van is a quadvan too (e350 2008) I am sure the ride is good.

My concern would be the added height.

As you can see in my trip report (France)

http://www.sportsmobileforum.com/for...aby-17580.html

I live in germany and we use our SMB in europe and its surroundings. Here it is quite usual that you have to cross woods. I was quite happy about my rather low pop-top in many places.

But I guess in the US, especially in the southwest, you will have much more open space than we do.

Great lookin' rig. I am thinking you hit closer to the mark I should have done with the interior... at least with your bed setup and the storage potential. And you still have a walk-through for access to the back doors and more importantly to me, the under floor storage box.

Cool...makes me want to rip the entire interior out and start over. Grrrrr...

Nice looking rig and some beautiful country there! Yes, the ride is good, happy with my Quadvan conversion.
Regarding the height... sure, there are places that I can't go but that can be said of any vehicle. There is more than a lifetime of places to explore in the western US where I can travel without a problem.
Again, for me the benefit of the fixed high top more than outweighs any restrictions.

Lovin that table up front! Would you share how it's rigged? Looks like it's connected to the doghouse?

PS: on your front seats, an option. I'm having my stock seats reupholstered in leather by a guy in Portland. He uses the basic seat but can give you whatever comfort pofile and stitiching you want.

Hi. For the table I used this set up -

Sequoia™ Table Leg & Base System - ITC RV

The top and pole store in the closet when not in use.

Do you mind sharing the info for the person doing your seats?

Thanks, I'll take a look at that. Is it stable for you?

Here's the website for the seat upholstery. I can't yet comment on my seats (in process), but the work in his small shop looks good. The owner is Mike Weiler, an interesting character. Seems he's been doing this work for 50-ish years.

Just a quick update and a few new photos after having some work done. Added an Aluminess front bumper and Webasto heater. Quadvan did the work and took care of a few other items. Again, very nice job from John and his crew.
I left a marine through hull fitting for them to use for the Webasto exhaust. Protects it and makes for a clean finished look.
The Aluminess front bumper... there are many like it, but this one is mine...
