Re: My build so far

Nice floor system writeup!

I'm curious to see how the end results go with the fatmat. I'm thinking about getting some to do my doghouse and possibly the drivers cockpit area.

The foam insulation layer on the floor goes a long way towards keeping the cold transfer down in low temps.

Looking forward to seeing more!

Re: My build so far

Here are a few pics of the progress I have made. I did a terrible job of taking pics as I moved forward, but if anyone cares to know, I could send pretty detailed descriptions of what I did...

Re: My build so far

Do you have any pictures of your storage box/bed set up in bed mode? I'd like to know how you convert it over to a bed platform. What are you using for padding to sleep on?

Re: My build so far

I will post some tomorrow. I have a "cleat" secured to the front of each box, and then (for now anyway) I have to large pieces that sit on top under the straps and one smaller piece that fills in the last gap. I am working on figuring out how to use the center bed pieces as back supports when not in bed mode... but I will post more pics tomorrow.

I have not received the cushions yet, but I ordered some from a patio cushion place on line. My bed is 48" wide and each storage box is 18" deep... for a total length of almost 72"--- so I ordered 4 cushions and will use one on each bench and one for each back. Once the cushions come, I will post if they are any good or not.

Re: My build so far

I'm getting my nerve and $$$ together to take out my entire interior and redo... it is all 17 years old and I want to freshen the ol' jalopy up a little more. Your thread gives me inspiration. More, please, as you go. Thanks!

Re: My build so far

Bed planks in place. The set up works just right, but I may build a simple "T" the will run perpendicular to the bed to help support it.
