Re: My Initial Plan

Thanks. I'm either going to use this thread or a blog to document the build. It'll be a slow process, but I'm looking forward to it

In the meantime, I'm going to take the southern route back. The middle of the country is too cold for an uninsulated steel box.

Blog will give you less interruptions.. comments are less, uh, in-line. I can hook you up if you need a forum based blog. We'll call it a test case.

Nice looking rig, BTW.

Re: My Initial Plan

Forum-based blog where? I may be interested. Had been thinking of wordpress, but don't want the hassle.

The rig is great. Been hauling ass home, but still have a lot of the country to go.

There is one issue with a circuit that activates the front hubs and the front locker, but I'll get that straightened out. The Quadvan people are great for phone support, but much on email. I think they're too busy in the shop to deal with the internet. They are helpful on the phone, though.

I was thinking of having the Texas SMB shop do the electrical, but they said they were too busy, thanks anyway. I'm now thinking of just doing it myself and asking a lot of questions in the electrical forum, after I read "Living With 12 Volts," which seems to be the bible.

It really would be satisfying and help me down the road if I learn enough to put it in myself. I have always wanted to learn more electrical, so this may be the time.

Let me know about the blog. Thanks.

Paul

Re: My Initial Plan

Forum based blog nowhere, as of yet. But it's something I've tossed around providing but nobody has taken me up on it yet. PM or email a phone number (or best contact info off board) and I'll call you about maybe doing something.
