New Chevy Express Build, Advice Needed!
Hi Guys. I'm so thankful I've found this forum. I recently purchased a 2011 Chevy Express 1500 (Standard, gas saver) van. The van came with the stock black rubber mat fit to the floor and I was looking for a way to create a shelf housing which runs and sits from the front of the wheel well, over the wheel well and to the rear of the truck.
My thought was to just lay a piece of plywood, cut out around the wheel wells and gas tank protrusion from the rear of the truck to the back of the front seats and use that as something I could mount the shelf support and other things onto (I don't want to drill into the truck).
I've done fairly a lot of reading around here but was still wondering if I could just get more reassurance or tips on what I'm looking to do. Anything from what piece of plywood to use to whether it's ok for me to just have the custom fit plywood resting and not mounted into the bottom of the truck. I know a lot of you guys have done this but I'm having an information overload and getting a little overwhelmed before I've even gotten started.
Will def post pictures soon.
Thanks!
