Online Parts Stores

Has anyone else had a hard time finding good sources for parts?

I thought I found a local RV Salvage, but when I showed up to check it out - it had been closed for years. That's left me with online solutions. There are the obvious eBay, Craig's List and Amazon. I've also been looking for stores that specialize in rv/marine/camper parts. Here are some I've found:

http://www.sierraexpeditions.com/
http://www.thervpro.com/
http://campinglab.com/
http://www.adventuretrailers.com/
http://www.go2marine.com/
http://www.gowesty.com/
http://www.truckcampersupply.com/

I haven't ordered from any yet. I'm still in the research phase. I'm also hoping to land a camper on Craig's List that's in poor condition but can be salvaged for parts.

One thing I've been looking for but can't find is a nice simple counter/sink solution. These are really close:

http://www.amazon.com/Reliance-Products ... 484&sr=8-7

I would be cutting the legs off and building it into a cabinet and counter, but it comes complete with a faucet and little water pump.

This one could be used as a complete counter top and the sink has a nice lid. It also comes in black tho I've been unable to locate a picture. I would need to buy a water pump separately.

Anyway... do you know some other good sources for parts online?

Good thread, sticked. A bit off the core build, but I'll add:

http://www.strapworks.com

I've ordered from them and they have tons of selection in the nylon webbing and metal/plastic buckles... beats the heck out of local selection, and it's cheap.

Re: Online Parts Stores

There are several companies that cater to horse trailer conversions/living quarters that have some really good stuff. I'll try and find out who they were.

For electrical cabling including CAT-5 and little things like USB cables, http://monoprice.com can rarely be beat.

http://dealextreme.com for silly little Chinese-made junk that is occasionally handy.

Re: Online Parts Stores

These people have a fantastic selection, including Ikea like options of shipping a flatpack DIY camper conversion set for your van as well as stoves, fridges, etc. Unfortunately they are in the UK but they might be good for ideas.

The fantastic choice of vans (vantastic choice?) in Yurup makes me quite jealous.

Not a "parts store" but seems like a useful site:

Re: Online Parts Stores

I just stumbled on this while searching around for awnings but it looks like they have some great things for the home builder:

Re: Online Parts Stores

For water storage, grey water, black water, etc. Lots of options, I think this link is for the flat bottom portable containers. Not cheap but very specific.
