Quigley??? Not bad after all.

Sorry in advance but i have to vent again. Some of you may have read about a little of this in my "2013 E350 new build" thread.

11-1-13
Hi fellow forum members. I had written a bunch of things here venting about my frustrations with getting my van back from Quigley. After it is all said and done, I don't think they deserve some of the things I said, and or thought. They all did everything they could to make things right with what went wrong. It proved to me that they do care about their customers and they want every one of us to be happy.

Please read my update below.

Re: Quigley??? NEVER AGAIN!

Was a delivery date promised in the paperwork? Seems like if you don't have the van yet due to delivery delays on their behalf, can't you cancel?

Have you called QuadVan? I think they try to keep 1-2 converted vans in stock. They are also a Ford ship-through converter.

Re: Quigley??? NEVER AGAIN!

Sorry to hear about your issues. Hopefully they can tell you why your van is so late. My van was so late getting the Quigley conversion that I cancelled the conversion and took our first trip to Alaska 2wd. Had the 4x4 added later.

In my case, they told me Ford had the van sitting in a holding lot for 8 weeks before sending it to Quigley. But, who really knows what happened? If I were to do it over, I would just plan on going to QuadVan.

In your case, it is more important that you be happy with the 4x4 conversion, and I hope you are quite pleased with it.

Mike

I have an e-mail stating the schedule and a finish date, but nothing as far as a signed contract. What bothers me the most is that if they new they were that far behind, an e-mail or a phone call would have went a long ways to keep me informed of the schedule. I guess I'll see if they are done when I get there Wednesday. If not, things could get ugly.

Re: Quigley??? NEVER AGAIN!

Ah, bummer. Wish you would have posted this on Friday! I was just down near Quigley's shopp (York, Pa.) over the weekend and could have popped in to them to see about your van for you/take some photos.

Good luck with the conversion!

Got one. 06 E350 "Super Duty" R.B. with a semi-floater.
54,000 of the roughest miles I ever drove.
Worst driving vehichle ever.
Room for improvement.

Re: Quigley??? NEVER AGAIN!

Another 3 grand on Deaver rear springs will solve the rough ride issues in the rear. But the handling disappointment on the front end will live on. Certainly worth looking into a solution for that, and it sounds like Baja Sportsmobile had one based on other posts on the SMBForum.
