Re: SOCAL build
Upgraded the core wiring harness last night. I think it weighs 5 pounds, lot of copper in there.

Re: SOCAL build
Picked up a rack yesterday, 55"x111". Going to have expanded metal welded to the base with a square cut out for the fan and some angle iron mounted to the front top for my solar panel.

Re: SOCAL build
Going to use ladder racks for mounting the basket. Picked these up really cheap, just needed a little elbow grease.
Also got the VHF antenna mounted.

Re: SOCAL build
Just a thought, but you might want to test out those overhead switch lights at night to make sure they're not too bright and/or distracting. I've found a lot of indicator bulbs to be far too bright at night.
Great work though, and I'm very impressed by how quickly you're tackling everything.

That's where dropping resistors come in handy......

Good idea, wish that was I reason I tested at night. Only reason I did was to see everything lit up.
Only thing I don't like is the CB is not bright enough to see the channels so I need to angle it.

Where did the rack come from? Those dimensions would work well for me.
