Re: SOCAL build
[quoteThat's a cool idea......black ABS......perhaps a schrader valve to add a little pressure......[/quote]
Yup, Black ABS with a slight tilt and great idea on the Schrader valve. I have a small transmission seal leak so it is off to mechanic today to fix that and this might be the new weekend project. Trying to get these last few things done before interior gets roughed in.

Re: SOCAL build
Finished up roof top wiring last night. Added water proof quick disconnects for the LED lights and double wrapped all.

Re: SOCAL build
Solar charges now! Moved the rack back a little, didn't like it centered on the roof.

Re: SOCAL build
What a day..... Went in for a transmission seal replacement and the shop could not do it, said van setup is to much for his shop, really nice about it and recommended a Certified Ford shop that works on heavy duty vehicles. That shop is going to do the work which is a transfer case gasket and the seals on the front axel (already knew about that). Not cheap but getting done because it needs it.
They both brought up my tire size (Maxxis Bighorn LT315/75 R16). Tire where put on brand new when I bought the van and look cool but I suspect I will get a safer and better ride with something smaller, also want to go with a black rim.

Re: SOCAL build
Got van back today and a few things came in the mail. shop replaced front axle seals and transfer case seal. Had to drop gas tank to get to transfer case because the skid plate is welded. These guys are Ford diesel specialist nuts. all He said if I ever run across a 7.3 even if it does run to buy it and get it rebuilt, said it would last a lifetime with proper maintenance. The shop is F&M Auto repair in San Diego, I thought price was fair and work done is good.

Re: SOCAL build
Swivel base came in, finally, still waiting on seatbelts. There's country time and there's Discount Van time...... It fits perfect, hopefully seatbelts will be in before I go to interior.

Re: SOCAL build
And more rethinking I added a switch so I can go between starting battery and solar battery just in case I need that radio in the middle of no where.
