Re: Stuff Sliding Around

I'm still in the planning stages but considering a similar setup. One idea I've had was making a couple of slots at the very front of each side box using u-channel or maybe wooden strips, then cutting a piece of plywood to fit into the slots, inserted from the top before putting the bed down. It would completely enclose the space under the bed but be easily removable.

Stuff Sliding Around

Friction Mats.

You can either try a kitchen gadget place, Ikea etc. and try the household variety or go to a local printer or newspaper and ask if they ever keep the mats from under the rolls of newsprint when they unload the trucks.

They are about 1.5'x2.5' and 1/8" thick. They won't help in a rollover. Obviously.

Re: Stuff Sliding Around

My wife is a Yoga Teacher and I always grab any old or extra yoga "sticky mats" and use them for many applications. They do a very good job of holding items from sliding in my truck or van. They can also be used as sound absorbing layers.
