Thule roof track or Aluminess

Scheduled an install of my pop-top. Thinking Thule roof tracks and then going from there. Any suggestions or insights out there on equipment, add ons or accessories.

Congrats on getting a poptop. I went with powder-coated aluminum Unistrut on mine and have found it to be incredibly versatile. I considered the Thule track but it was neither long enough nor able to accommodate as many attachments as I wanted. Here’s my write-up, starts at post 146 I think:

I just had a penthouse top installed by CCV a little over a week ago. I also went with the aluminum Unistrut option, figuring that I had more options to mount and move stuff around as needed. The fact that the rails run almost the entire length of the roof gives me a lot more room to work with. They also seem very sturdy.

Otter,

Thanks for posting the link to the other thread. I've been trying to figure out how best to use my numerous Yakima round bars & mounts on the new top.

Glen, you’re welcome. It was another forum member that gave me that idea. I’m lovin’ it.
