New Aluminess Deluxe Boxes with drop down doors
We built a batch of these new deluxe boxes with drop down doors. They are supported by lanyards that let you use the door as a table. We are offering them at the same price as our regular deluxe boxes...$675 without rails and $740 with rails. Give us a call if you are interested! NOTE: The pic in lower right corner is a custom Galley box...just included to show functionality

What are the "rails"? Is it the basket on the top?

yes. just fits jerry cans on top. Although, you quickly exceed the weight they recommend on the box.

I carry three steel jerry cans on top of mine, and so far it's been fine. I don't worry at all as long as I'm on paved roads, but once I hit the dirt I try to empty at least two as quickly as I can since it's a lot of weight up there.

For future reference, Aluminess is a great company and generally happy to work with you if you're have some different ideas... No need to order from the catalog, just give them a call.

So true about them but they knew they were close to getting these new styles going and they were not on their Web site so how is someone to know. I even talked with the man on the phone while placing my order. Had I been told, I would have jumped all over that new style. Shit.

Well, you can't really expect them to stop selling existing designs when they start working on a new design.. I mean, they'd never sell anything!
