Re: 1984 Ford E150 Econoline Sportmobile - Another one at $3

I have been looking to replace mine with a step bumper but have not found one yet. Have been searching Craigslist and the local junk yards. Those two places should be your starting point for used ones. You could also have a metal fabricator make you one.

Congrats on the purchase gm01! Looks like you scored a great deal! FIrst order of business should be to deal with the rust, and get it either taken care of by a body shop, or spray the areas of rust with something to stop the rust. Looks like the doorsill areas in the rear cargo doors need a little attention. Probably want to look at the body mounts underneath too, some of them have a tendency to rust through. Other than that, it looks like it's ready to go camping! -bphin

Thanks. Will check-out the full extent of the rust damage when the van is delivered tomorrow.

Can't go wrong at that price! Pop-top alone is probably worth that used.

Where are you in Virginia? Some of us "right coasters" have been talking about an east-coast meetup one of these days.

I'm in Northern Virginia (McLean). If anyone in the area wants to get together and talk vans, I'm there.
