1987 Chevrolet Contempo Camper Van

1987 Chevrolet Contempo Camper Van 137,676 miles,

5.7L V8 350 engine TBI OHV 16V
REAR WHEEL DRIVE

Does anyone have an idea of where a starting/ending price would be for this, not min. And how much life it might have left (guestimating with only seeing the pics). I may be interested as a way to get started. If the link does not work its in EBAY motors listed under camper vans. Thanks and look forward to getting some imput!

That thing is a rare beauty!

The good news is parts should be inexpensive, although it's been many a year since I had my old G20. I put an used engine in it in Texas for less than $1000 and later a new (salvaged) rear end, otherwise it was minor stuff and the engine was bad when I bought it (I have a knack!)

My only concern would be top and canvas condition, not from the photos, but just that with a system that old it might take some creativity to maintain.

Wow that thing is sweet. I would say maybe around $10,000. I saw one that wasn't as nice as that sell for $6,500 a few months ago. You might get lucky though if no one bids on it. How much are you looking to spend? Those vans are so easy to fix but they last a long time if well taken care of. Love the colors and rims

Wheels and tires look sweet. The 350 is a sweet driving engine. I'd make sure it's a 4-speed tranny, 3 speeds suck. Looks like an awesome van! The pop-top alone, if it's good, is worth a fair chunk of money!
